Karl Stefanovic faces backlash for Meghan Markle segment

60 minutes has made global headlines with their upcoming Meghan Markle segment

“Karl has successfully avoided the headlines this year and that has had a positive effect on his brand image,” InsideOut PR director Nicole Reaney said.

“I do believe his involvement in a sensationalist story and interviewing someone with that reputation is not going to do him any favours. It will potentially set him back.

“This resurfaces all of his past again and makes him an easy target.

“He should perhaps explain why he chose the talent. Meghan Markle is an international figure with international interest so that’s going to create viral interest. It’s important he addresses the comments on social media.”
